Holiday farm Schraevenacker

Enjoy a relaxing and friendly stay in the IJzervlakte.

The farm was managed by 3 generations of Van Eeckes. The three planted oak trees in the courtyard bear witness to this. Hugo confidently passed the torch to us: Karen Vandenberghe, David Devos and our sons Jarne and Lars.

The name Schraevenacker is derived from "the grave's field". That name probably dates from the time when there was a castle in Oostvleteren and a lot of land belonged to the countess.

Schraevenacker is an oasis of peace between the hiking, cycling and riding trails in the Yzer Valley. Children can get acquainted with life on the farm, with pony or horse riding. We also offer the option of stables for your own horses and there is a large outdoor arena that can be used freely.

Our holiday farm is located a stone's throw from the Poperingse hoppe region, from Ypres and Diksmuide with their memories of the war, from the Flanders Fields Museum in Ypres, 100m from the zoo "De Zonnegloed" (only by reservation via their website) and barely 20 km from the coast.

On the ground floor there are 5 attractively decorated rooms, each with private bathroom and walk-in shower, sink and toilet. There is a television and internet in the rooms. On the top floor we have furnished 3 theme-oriented luxury rooms: the Rose Room, the Angel Room and the Blue White Room, all equipped with a bath combined with shower, a private sitting area and all other comforts.

We would kindly ask you not to bring your own food and drinks to the B&B. 

For your convenience, we have a cozy bar where you can enjoy drinks, and a restaurant especially for our staying guests where delicious meals are served.

We serve our guests a 3-course menu in the evening, with a choice of 2 different dishes per course. 

We will send the menus by email before your stay.

in the afternoon it is possible to order sandwiches. It is also possible to have a snack on our terrace. 

(Except on Sunday afternoon.)

In the cozy, country-style breakfast room you can enjoy an extensive breakfast with home-made jams. Rose jam is the house specialty.
