Welcome to holiday home Casa de la Piña. We are located in Hondon de los Frailes, an authentic, charming village near cities such as Alicante and Murcia, in southern Spain.

During our search of more than 3 years through Andalusia and the Costa Blanca we suddenly drove through the picturesque Hondon Valley. Here we found the sun and the peace we were looking for, we immediately felt at home.

After a short search we found Casa de la Piña, the ideal place to start our holiday home in Alicante, Spain.

Our holiday home is named after our surname: Pijnappels. When you hear our name, people often immediately think of the English pineapple, which in Spanish is piña. A nice side effect is that the pineapple has been the symbol of hospitality for centuries.

We have several terraces, a cozy lounge area and a terrace under the grapevine where breakfast can also be served or where you can join our cozy guest table in the evening.

Casa de la Piña is located in the Hondon Valley, on the edge of the village of Hondon de los Frailes. Like Hondon de las Nieves, these two typical Spanish villages belong to this valley. The valley is relatively unspoilt and located in a quiet area just behind the mountains of Sierra de Crevillente, near Alicante in the southern part of the Costa Blanca.

The villages in this valley are famous for their many festivals in the summer months. Often with traditional clothing, music and dance. There is also a wide range of restaurants, cozy terraces, shops, bars and local markets. All this while enjoying the wonderful Spanish sun, which shines here on average 310 days a year.

Hondon de los Frailes is located 45 minutes from Alicante airport and the beautiful sandy beaches of the Costa Blanca. In the middle of a beautiful walking and cycling area. Ideal for those who love nature, peace, space and a wonderful climate.
