You can walk to the beach, the promenade and the many cosy restaurants and shops in less than 10 minutes. There is free public parking in front of the door, ideal if you are coming by car.

From the outside, this house looks like a charming, traditional fisherman's cottage. But behind the façade lies one of Praia da Rocha's best-kept secrets: an unexpectedly spacious, serene and completely walled rear garden with several terraces, a sunny garden with fruit trees, plenty of privacy and a private swimming pool.

Lively at the front, an oasis of calm at the back — that contrast makes this place unique.

Inside, you will find a bright, spacious living room with an open dining area and a modern, fully equipped kitchen. The house has been completely renovated and tastefully decorated very recently, making everything feel fresh, comfortable and atmospheric. Of course, there is also a washing machine and converters for heating and cooling in all rooms, as well as fast WiFi and a large LCD TV with Dutch and Flemish TV channels.

The holiday home has three comfortable bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom (walk-in shower). On the first floor, there is a spacious sun terrace with sun loungers and parasols — the perfect place for quiet mornings or long summer evenings.

In the garden behind the house, you will find several lounge areas, shade and sun, an outdoor dining area and, of course, the swimming pool: small but wonderfully refreshing. The garden is completely enclosed and feels like your own private retreat.

Important note:

Due to the original character of the house, the different levels, stairs and steps inside and outside, it is less suitable for young children and less accessible for people with limited mobility. We would like to make this clear so that no one is faced with any surprises.

Completely renovated and modernised house with 3 bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. The bedrooms have queen-size double beds. One of the bedrooms is located on the ground floor, the other two on the first floor.

The 3 bathrooms are complete with toilet, washbasin and separate shower. One of the bathrooms also has a bath next to the shower.

On the ground floor is the large living room with dining area and kitchen with all necessary appliances. There is also a small reading corner where you can relax.

The Algarve, a region that smells of sea salt, orange leaves and a hint of adventure.

The house is a ten-minute walk from the famous Praia da Rocha beach, a wide beach that often seems to be the setting for a gently breezy play. Perfect for swimming, sunbathing and evening strolls along the promenade.

And within walking distance of bars, restaurants and mini-markets.

It is located on a road that provides easy access to the town and the marina/beach.

For nature and hiking enthusiasts, there is, among other things,

Ponta João d'Arens, a coastal path with cliffs that in some places look like petrified waves. Small chapel feel, great view.

Serra de Monchique (± 25 min drive)
Cooler air, green slopes, thermal springs in Caldas de Monchique. Great if you want to escape the sunny days.
Ria de Alvor – Nature Reserve. Birdwatchers, peaceful walkers and lovers of almost enticing silence will find what they are looking for here.

Located on the coast, there is also plenty of water and coastal adventure:

Benagil caves by boat (± 20 min) The famous cave with its natural skylight. Touristy, but it remains a small cathedral of stone and sun.

Dolphin watching from Portimão Marina. Fast RIB boats, silver flashes next to the hull, sometimes a friendly porpoise gliding by.

Kayaking along the rocky coast. The rocks sound hollow and deep around you — a kind of marine walk without the footwork.

The Algarve also has culture and history, such as

Museu de Portimão. In a former sardine factory — an industrial carcass that now whispers stories of seafarers, fishing and ancient crafts.
Alvor — old town. Small streets where the sound of cutlery and laughter echoes between the walls.
Silves (25 min). Castle of red sandstone; as if someone had placed a crown on the hill.

For sports enthusiasts
Golf courses in the area: Penina, Alto, Morgado
Surfing at Praia da Rocha or Praia do Vau
Stand-up paddleboarding at Alvor Lagoon

For quiet days, there is the Aqua Portimão Shopping Centre.
