This former watchtower from the 15th century was part of the defensive works along the old Roman Via Flaminia and has been fully renovated with great respect for authenticity. Today, Casale Torre del Sasso combines historical charm with modern comfort, in an exceptionally peaceful and natural setting. This estate is uniquely situated in a green area yet only an 8-minute walk from the town of Cagli, where you can enjoy terraces, lovely restaurants, and wander through the small shopping streets.

At the estate, different accommodation options are available, allowing couples, families, and small groups to find their ideal holiday option here:

• The spacious and characterful holiday home Colombi (for 6 to 8 people),

• three cozy apartments (Pontone, Reniccio, and Airone),

• and from 2027 onwards, also a small-scale, luxurious campsite with furnished glamping tents and a few spacious pitches.

All accommodations are located on an extensive, green estate with terraces and panoramic views over the Italian hillside landscape. Guests can enjoy the swimming pool, the wood-fired hot tub, the outdoor kitchen, the lounge area, all sharing a calm and spacious atmosphere, an authentic ambiance, and the opportunity to experience both privacy and conviviality. And, as is customary in Italy, there is a cozy tent in the garden with a long table underneath where guests can meet for a bite to eat, play a game, or have a pleasant conversation. 

Casale Torre del Sasso is the ideal base for those who love nature, culture, and gastronomy: charming villages, medieval towns, local markets, vineyards and olive groves, and beautiful walking and cycling routes are all within reach. Here you experience Italy as it was meant to be: slow, pure, and full of character.

The holiday home at Casale Torre del Sasso is traditionally furnished in the style of Italian country houses. Spacious, stylish, and colorful.

In this fully renovated house, you can truly relax. The large fireplace can, of course, be used. A comfortable sofa invites you to unwind in front of the fire. The spacious living room is perfect for long meals and enjoying dishes prepared in the fully equipped kitchen. The kitchen naturally comes with all the necessary appliances, including a dishwasher!

The 3 bedrooms are spacious and complete. The authentic beds provide good sleeping comfort. The 2 adjoining bathrooms/shower/toilets (completely renovated in 2026) make the home complete.

The tower room is truly a special feature. You reach the spacious room on the top floor via an authentic staircase. Once upstairs, you feel like you are in a palace with a large double bed and two single beds, antique desks, and plenty of space. You have a beautiful view over the valley, looking miles into the vast beauty of Le Marche. Guests of the holiday home can enjoy all the various luxury facilities on the estate. Naturally, they can use a large barbecue and the beautiful swimming pool. The daily luxury breakfast, bed linen, towels, bath towels, swimming pool, tourist tax, waste collection, and final cleaning are included in the price. Optional facilities that can be booked include: twice a week a delicious typical Italian dinner with matching wines & music, a pasta workshop, and a hot tub package. We ask for a contribution towards heating costs based on actual usage (pellets for the stove).

Casale Torre del Sasso is idyllically located in Cagli (61043), in the province of Pesaro e Urbino, in the Marche region of central Italy, on the border with Umbria. This central location makes it a perfect base for those wanting to enjoy both peace and nature as well as culture, gastronomy, and historic towns.

The immediate surroundings are characterized by rolling hills, forests, waterfalls, and hiking areas. Hikers and cyclists can indulge themselves here thanks to the many panoramic routes in the Monte Petrano nature reserve and along the old Roman Via Flaminia. Nature lovers will also find impressive landscapes, caves, and gorges, such as the area around the Gola del Furlo and the famous Frasassi caves.

A real highlight is the Cagli pools, where you can experience incredibly beautiful and challenging hikes that end at Casale Torre del Sasso.

In the mood for the sea and the beach? The Adriatic coast with resorts such as Pesaro, Fano, Senigallia, Ancona, and Rimini is within driving distance and offers wide beaches, lively promenades, and cozy beach restaurants. Rome is also an option for a day trip.
