Heyd is a quiet picturesque farming village situated on the edge of the forest, part of the municipality of Durbuy in the Belgian Ardennes. There are 2 restaurants, a café / bistro and a bakery / with Friday organic market.
Ideal to walk straight from your house into the forests or along the plateau with the beautiful panoramic views. The Durbuy golf course is a 5-minute drive away. The village of Heyd offers a lot of peace and quiet, the cows and sheep sometimes happily graze in the meadow, all this makes Heyd a village for those seeking peace and quiet and hikers, mountain bikers, horse riding is also possible.
Autumn is also wonderful to stay in the forests or walk and cycle on the plateaus, in winter you can be lucky with snow, skiing is possible if there has been snow at a 20-minute drive.
Grocery store in Weris with delicious fresh bread, regional products and groceries open 6 days, Sunday until 2 p.m., can also be walked to, a beautiful walk over the plateau and back through the forest.
