We, Erik Winnelinckx & Emanuela Dowlaszewicz, own and operate B&B Emarik. A bed and breakfast located between Zakopane and Krakow in Poland.

B&B Emarik is located in a quiet municipality between Krakow and Zakopane. Our B&B (What is a B&B?) offers free WiFi, parking, bottled water, coffee and tea pads in the room and ski storage.

The 4 rooms (total for 17 people) are decorated according to a specific theme. We have room Steampunk, room Zen, room Travel and room Pirate. Each room has a TV (except Pirate) and a private bathroom with a shower.

Breakfast, included in the price, is buffet style. If you want to prepare something yourself in the afternoon or evening, you can do so in the small kitchenette of the dining room.

Turbacz, the highest point in the area, can be reached on foot from the park, just an 8-minute drive away. Those who like to be pampered in the wellness Thermen Gorce do not have to drive far. This is just 5 minutes by car or 20 minutes on foot. This is the ideal place for those looking for some peace and quiet and enjoy walking.

Surroundings

Zakopane

The cradle of Polish mountain tourism lies in the beautiful valley at the foot of the Tatra Mountains. It proudly bears the name of Poland's winter capital, but it is equally attractive in the other seasons as well. Many tourists come here because of the Tatra Mountains, but the city itself is also very interesting. So if the weather is bad you will certainly not be bored here.

Kasprowy Wierch (1987 m above sea level) - there is the cable car from Kużnice that takes you to the top;

Morskie Oko, mountain lake at the foot of Poland's highest peak, Rysy (2499 above sea level), to which a comfortable paved road leads. It is just a short walk to visit beautiful valleys: the Strążyska and the Biała Valley.

Gubałówka mountain, also reachable by cable car; it is a perfect vantage point to admire the landscape of the Tatra Mountains.

Water parks in Szaflary and Bukowina Tatrzańska offer relaxing in the thermal water.

Chochołów - a village where almost all the houses are the old, highland cottages. The houses are built with trunks of huge noble fir trees and the village is particularly unique in the entire Podhale region.

KRAKOU

Krakow is one of the most important cultural cities in Central Europe. It is therefore called the "Florence of Poland" and is considered by many to be one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. The city was one of the few cities in Poland to survive the Second World War unscathed.

The city center is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Krakow was European Capital of Culture in 2000. Krakow is a UNESCO City of Literature.

Located on a rocky slope in the heart of Krakow, Wawel Castle was once the seat of the Polish kings.

At the time of the Partitions of Poland, Krakow fell into the hands of the Austrians. After the restoration of Polish independence (after WWI), Wawel Castle became the seat of the Polish presidents. Currently it is a national museum.

Walk along the Vistula River and discover the history of Krakow (and a dragon). The story goes that the dragon was once defeated by a shoemaker named Krak. The people were so grateful to him that he was crowned king and named the city after him. In the summer months you can visit the dragon's lair and tour part of the extensive limestone labyrinth.

Szczawnica

The city is known for its exceptional natural environment, its unique atmosphere and for the hospitality of its inhabitants. The spa town of Szczawnica is located in one of the most beautiful regions of Poland, the valley of the Grajcarek, a tributary of the Dunajec, between the mountain range of Radziejowa and the Male Pieniny mountains, at an altitude between 440 and 560 m.

Spa tourists enjoy the well-being, unique in the world, of the acidic mineral water rich in bicarbonates, sodium, iodine, mineral salts and numerous trace elements. It is thanks to the latter that the spa specializes in the treatment of the respiratory tract, allergic diseases and the treatment of the motor system.

The gastronomes will also get their money's worth. Szczawnica is also known for its regional dishes that can be tasted in traditional inns and restaurants. Not to mention tasty products such as local cheeses and honey.
