The Child-friendly Camping Vorrelveen is located approximately 7 kilometres from the national parks Drents Friese Wold and Dwingelderveld. A car-free and small campsite where lovers of peace, nature and wide views will fully enjoy themselves.

You will discover in your own way and at your own pace what Drenthe has to offer.

Thanks to its location in the centre of Drenthe and the charming layout and playful layout of the grounds, the campsite can call itself a Charme Camping.

It is a spaciously laid out site, where many bees and birds feast on everything that can be found. Thanks to the right planting, a multitude of insects and birds can be spotted.

The location is rural and the open character with green interruptions ensures that the guest can enjoy the vastness and therefore a beautiful sunset every evening. The campsite itself exudes peace and relaxation. At most, you will be “bothered” by bird sounds.

The herb garden on the campsite, from which guests can pick, provides a culinary addition to your dinner or a delicious fresh mint tea.

The campsite is very suitable for children. A private playground with fun play equipment naturally works wonders. And for water lovers, the Blauwe Meer is approximately 3 km away. A beautiful natural lake.

There is a lot to do in the area surrounding Charme Camping Vorrelveen. Whether you come cycling or walking, with children or with friends. Do you want to visit a village or a museum, go into nature to watch birds or to paint? It's all possible. That's so much fun. Drenthe has so much natural beauty, culture and events.

The immediate area surrounding Charme Camping Vorrelveen

When you are at the campsite, you will see a lot of meadow from your green spot. The campsite is namely furnished with lots of greenery, flowering and evergreen. This is very nice for people and animals. Trees provide shade and the flowers and fruits on the bushes are a paradise for birds and insects.

From the campsite you can look out over a rural area. This area is home to many meadow birds that build their nests here. Special benches on the edge of the campsite give you the opportunity to enjoy the birds' play in peace and quiet and also a fantastic view of the setting sun.

But even if you walk around from the campsite, you will already be walking over the beautiful Brunstingerveld with sheep and ponds. The heather blooms beautifully there in August too! Just look at the photos below.
