Our accommodation is located in the "Montferland", one of the pearls of the green Achterhoek

and has everything for anyone who loves the outdoors. Would you like to during a

enjoy the most beautiful walking and cycling routes for a weekend or short holiday, enjoy yourself,

shopping or experiencing culture? Or would you just like to relax with a drink on one

from our terraces.

Holiday home “De Zonneheuvel” is an attractive base to stay together with

family or friends to discover the beautiful Montferland.

The Zonneheuvel is an attractive base to discover the beautiful “Montferland” with family or friends. The luxurious accommodation has 21 bedrooms, all of which have a private bathroom with shower, toilet and sink. Furthermore, all rooms have a desk and TV.

From the spacious living room you walk into our garden and look out over the meadows, the cows are your new neighbors. The living room is comfortably furnished with high and low seating areas and a cozy bar. Play a card, do a puzzle, watch TV, read or play a game together, there is room for everyone.

Next to the living room you can serve your meals in a separate room. You set the tables while the games can continue in the living room.

The dining room is approximately 110 m2, so there is enough space for your entire group to enjoy a meal.

You can use the sideboards to display your buffet. In the sideboards you will find all the crockery you need.

You can also walk into the garden from the dining room through the French doors. So if the weather does not allow you to eat outside but you still want to light the BBQ, everything is at hand.

Children's chairs have also been taken into consideration, we have 4 chairs ready for you in the dining room.

Just like in the living room, you determine your own atmosphere in the dining room by playing music via the Sonos speakers and the Spotify app

Montferland is located between Doetinchem, 's-Heerenberg, Didam in the Achterhoek. It is characterized by a truly beautiful un-Dutch, hilly forest area, namely the Bergherbos and within walking distance of our accommodation is the OERRR forest, where children can have fun. An 8 km circular walk takes you to a lookout tower in the Montferland and in the area there is a recreational lake where swimming, canoeing and even water skiing are possible.

Various walking and cycling routes are available from our location and our group accommodation is located on a challenging MTB route.

In short... an area with various recreational, sporting and cultural activities to undertake.
