Just above the town of Alicante (15 km), on the Costa Blanca, lies a stretch of coastline that is protected by the Sierra de Aitana mountain range in the hinterland. This keeps out cold and wind. It is also known as the “Orange Coast.”

Our apartment BELLA VISTA is located in this — in terms of climate — best region of Europe. It is situated directly on the seafront with a completely unobstructed sea view and, from the beginning of April 2026, RIGHT NEXT TO A BRAND-NEW BEACH, swimming pool, and garden. From the apartment, you can walk straight onto the beach. All of this is located in BLOCK B OF OUR RESORT WITH THE PERFECT SUN ORIENTATION, ESPECIALLY IMPORTANT IN WINTER!

In this particular part of the Costa Blanca, there is a delightful climate both in summer and winter, with an average of 320 sunny days per year. It is located between the centers of the towns of El Campello and Villajoyosa, without obstacles such as a road or railway line, 25 kilometers from Alicante Airport and 18 km from the center of Alicante. Although the bus stops right in front of the apartment building and the train station is only 300–400 meters away, we recommend traveling by car. We have a very affordable contact for car rental from Alicante Airport. It is much more practical, and there is so much to see and do in the immediate surroundings. Private secured parking is available.

Apartment Bella Vista is very comfortable and very complete. You will not lack anything!

LAYOUT

Bedroom 1: double bed (good box springs) with large wardrobe.

Living and dining room with all Dutch and some international TV channels and NETFLIX.

Kitchen: large kitchen with four-burner stove, large fridge/freezer, microwave/oven, dishwasher, various coffee machines and kettle. Furthermore, completely complete and very spaciously equipped.

Utility room: washing machine and dryer.

Terrace: 2 large terraces on the ground floor with completely unobstructed views of the sea, swimming pool, garden. Terrace no. 1 can be completely covered, which is often not an unnecessary luxury. After all, you live outside almost all the time! There are only 15 terraces in the entire resort and they are only on the ground floor. These are located in Block B, the block that has the GOOD SUN LOCATION, WHICH IS ESPECIALLY IMPORTANT IN THE WINTER! Special and ONLY in this small part of the Costa Blanca there is a wonderful climate, both in summer and in winter with an average of 320 hours of sunshine per year.

In addition to everything that has to do with sun, beach and water fun and all the facilities of Cala Merced itself, here are some more tips, all within a maximum of 30 kilometers from the apartment. This is just a small and random list of what can be done in the area. There is so much more to discover! A few examples:

Train

At 400 meters from our residence Cala Merced is the small train station VENTA LA NUZA. This train goes right along the coast both northwards Benidorm/Denia and southwards towards Alicante. If you want to go to the famous boulevard of Alicante, you have to change at “Sangueta” to the train on the other side. The last ride only takes 2 minutes. You can buy tickets from the machine on the train itself. This train also stops in Villajoyosa, Benidorm, Denia. Nice and easy, no parking hassle and long live the vino!

Terra Mitica

Beautiful, large and extensive amusement park in the style of /Disney. Very spacious and wide with many palm trees. It is only 15 km from the apartment. You can buy a ticket for 1 day on site and the 2nd day is half price. But you can also buy a ticket online. Highly recommended! www.terramiticabenidorm.com

Valor chocolate factory, Valor is a very famous chocolate brand and well worth a visit. Only a 15-minute drive to Vilajoysia, which is an attraction in itself. Also book in advance

Go on a tour inland, a great experience in itself. For example, go to Berg Restaurant Coll de Rates. The most beautiful view, even all the way to Ibiza and delicious food for a very reasonable price!

At the beginning of the year, thousands of almond trees are in bloom and lemon and orange trees everywhere along the road
