Barranco Fundo, where Burgundians and nature lovers feel at home.
This place exudes an open, light and modern atmosphere. Partly due to the privacy and the beautiful nature around, this house offers the perfect setting to come home to Portugal and relax with family and friends.
The house is built against the slope of a valley that bears the same name.
There is a restored house and a new, modern villa on the site. The new house, suitable for 8 guests, is rented on a weekly basis. The small house is private. Exceptionally it can be rented in combination with the villa. This is possible on request.
You drive from Faro to Barranco Fundo in 40 minutes.

The 11.5 x 4.5 m swimming pool is not close to the house, which gives peace and quiet in the house, even with children playing in the pool.
It has an outdoor shower and separate toilet.
The swimming pool is bathed in sun all day long, there are comfortable sunbeds and also nice trendy outdoor seats. Of course there are no parasols missing.

Close to the charming fishing village of Ferragudo
Just between Faro and Sagres on the Portuguese South Coast, Algarve
Barranco Fundo is located in the middle of nature but only a 5 to 10 minute drive from villages, beaches, department stores and restaurants of all categories.
In the nearest villages, Ferragudo (on the banks of the Arade River) and Lagoa (with a daily small covered market) you will find all daily necessities. The larger city of Portimão is located on the other side of the Arade River.
You can make wonderful day trips to Silves, (Caldas de) Monchique, Alvor, Lagos, Salema, Sagres, Cabo St Vincente, the surfing beaches on the southwest coast. To the east we recommend Loulé, Faro, Olhão, Tavira, the Ria Formosa Natural Park or the island of Fuseta.
The nearest beach, Praia Grande, is 2.5 km away.
Horse riding, surfing, SUPing, sailing, kayaking, dophin watching, fishing, hiking, mountain biking, cycling, yoga are all possible.
The Algarve is considered a golfer's paradise. Of the more than 25 golf clubs, two (Gramacho and Vale da Pinta) are just around the corner from Barranco Fundo.

Barranco Fundo is located halfway between Faro (55 km) and Sagres (60 km) on the Portuguese south coast, a stone's throw from Ferragudo on the Arade River and a 5-minute drive from the nearest beach. Due to its location, this place is the perfect base to discover the entire Algarve from east to west.
