Casa la donna, an attractive quinta.

This holiday home was stylishly renovated in 2021 while retaining its characteristic Portuguese elements.

In the autumn of 2022, the beautiful landscape garden was transformed into a 'water-wise' garden with Mediterranean trees and plants.

The great asset of this house is without a doubt the breathtaking view of the landscape and the ocean.

This authentic Portuguese holiday home for 4 people is located on top of a hill between the mountains and the ocean, surrounded by the rolling landscape of the Algarve.

This attractive quinta with its rough stone walls, which keep it cool indoors in the summer, has been tastefully decorated in every detail with a mix of antique and modern. Many local materials were used in the interior, such as the Santa Catarinas, the bamboo ceilings and the wooden shutters. There are two bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms.

Upon arrival you have an instant holiday feeling!

The terrace and garden:

From the cozy, sunny terrace you have a panoramic view with the beautiful ocean as an eye-catcher. With a glass of Portuguese wine you will be intoxicated by the intense scents of the south and enjoy the wonderful outdoor life.

Through a gate and some stairs you enter the lower garden with two old olive trees as an eye-catcher and a new shade terrace for relaxing. Due to the increasing drought, we decided to convert the old landscape garden into a 'water-wise garden', a natural, Mediterranean garden with less water consumption, taking the environment into account. In the garden you will also find the swimming pool with inviting sunbeds where you will probably spend a lot of time. Take a refreshing dip in the pool or enjoy and dream away under the Portuguese sun.

Due to the central location of Casa la Donna, the picturesque cities such as Loulé, Faro and Tavira on the east coast are easily accessible. Loulé is 5 minutes away, best known for its large covered market hall where you can buy fresh fish every day and visit the popular weekly market on Saturdays. In the narrow streets you will come across all kinds of nice local shops. You will also find several trendy dining addresses here in addition to the many traditional Portuguese restaurants.

The beautiful rocky beaches of the west coast are just a 25-minute drive away. Casa la Donna is also the perfect base for trips to the hilly interior.
