It could accommodate approximately 7,000 visitors and dates back to the first century BC. Archaeologists found traces of Visgoths, Byzantines and Moors here. One visits the Teatro Romano via the museum. In the museum, history is brought alive with audiovisual material and you will discover that there was a public market hall. You then walk from the museum to the theater via an underground corridor.

Salt Lakes of Torrevieja.

The Salinas of Torrevieja is known for its pink water and a variety of plants and birds. The salt lake near Torrevieja is one of the largest salt exploitations in Spain and produces an average of 600,000 tons of salt per year. Salt extraction takes place all year round.

The Salinas of Torrevieja and La Mata have a total area of ​​3,743 hectares. One of the most striking bird species is the flamingo, which numbers about 2,000 during the breeding season.

You can visit the salt lakes with a special tourist train. During the visit you can admire the pink colored water. You can also see salt mountains of up to 20 meters high.

Murcia.

Murcia has approximately 440,000 inhabitants, making it the seventh largest city in Spain.

The most famous landmark of Murcia is the cathedral on Plaza Cardenal Belluga in the historic heart of Murcia. It is a Gothic church with a museum where you can learn more about this church. You can also go into the tower so you have a beautiful view of Murcia.

It is definitely worth visiting the Real Casino, which is located in the center.

It is hardly noticeable from the outside, but on the inside the building is richly decorated. The interior is like that of a small palace with very different styles.

Plaze de Glorieta is a cute 18th century square located on the banks of the Segura River near the cathedral. The square has several fountains and flowers.

Murcia also has many nice terraces where you can enjoy delicious tapas and a drink.

The Cannons of Mazarron/ the Bateria de Castillitos.

The Bateria de Castillitos is an old fortress equipped with some very large cannons. The guns are so big that they can be seen on an aerial photograph. It is located on a small spit of land between Cartagena and Mazarron. The military fort was built in the years 1933-1936.

You can also visit the fort and after a climb you will have a beautiful view of the harbors that the cannons had to guard.

It is a very beautiful area where you can walk around for at least half a day and admission is free.

Torrevieja.

This seaside resort is definitely worth a visit.

Torrevieja has a beautiful boulevard with many cozy restaurants, terraces and shops.

A walk along the beaches on the boulevard really gives you that holiday feeling.

There is also a long pier Dique de Levante Breakwate of approximately 1400 meters where you can take a nice walk and have a beautiful view of the sea, the fishing boats and the luxury boats. A beautiful experience.
